Some afterschool care and activities have been rescheduled or canceled in addition to the school closings.
With the impending precipitation entering in the region, the two school districts have closed. The National Weather Service said snow is expected to accumulate into the late afternoon, with the heaviest to occur in the late morning hours. Freezing rain is expected to follow.
For the Mantua Township School District, the district is closed due to an early dismissal time of 1 p.m. for J. Mason Tomlin School and 1:15 for Centre City and Sewell schools becoming a risk for students and drivers. There is no word on when a make-up day will occur.
Clearview Regional is closed for the day. In addition, the freshmen and junior varsity boys basketball games against West Deptford High School have been canceled. The varsity basketball game was rescheduled to Feb. 21, starting at 7 p.m. at West Deptford.
