The 67-year-old man was arrested after a cybertip was received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children
The following is a release from the Gloucester Township Police Department:
David Jackson, 67, of Somerdale in Gloucester Township, was charged with Possession of Child Pornography, according to Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Gloucester Township Police Chief Harry Earle.
On Feb. 15, detectives from the High-Tech Crimes Unit (HTCU) of the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office conducted a knock and talk at David Jackson’s residence after receiving a cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).
An on-site preview of Jackson’s devices led to the above charges filed against him. Authorities also located numerous digital devices in the home that were taken to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office’s HTCU Forensic Lab to be analyzed.
David Jackson was transported to the Gloucester Township Police Department where he was processed and released on a summons.
The Gloucester Township Police Department assisted the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office HTCU Detectives on this case.
The investigation is ongoing. All persons charged with crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
