Mantua Township patrol summary, Feb. 6–12

Feb. 6

·Officer took a harassment complaint where the victim’s ex was posting negative things on social media.

·Officers took a criminal mischief complaint in which their vehicle was covered in mulch.

·Ptl. Riepen and his K-9 partner, Bane, assisted Sgt. Herner on a motor vehicle stop in which a drug sniff was requested and there was a positive indication by the canine.

·Units responded to a minor crash on Mantua Avenue by Marion Avenue in Wenonah.

·Patrols took a theft report for items that were stolen from an unlocked vehicle overnight.

·Officers took a fraud report resulting from a telephone scam.

·Patrols responded to a three-vehicle crash in front of Planet Fitness.

·Patrols responded to a crash on Main Street near Heritage Road. Several occupants were transported to the hospital and the vehicles needed to be towed.

Feb. 7

·Officers responded to a domestic assault between husband and wife. A restraining order was granted and the husband was charged with simple assault.

·Units responded to a RV that had caught fire in the area of Berkley Road and Firth Drive.

·Officers took a harassment report in which the victim’s ex keeps sending her flowers at work

·Officers responded to an overdose in which a 33-year-old male had overdosed on heroin in the bathroom. He was conscious and was transported to the hospital.

·Units responded to a crash on Main Street in which a vehicle struck a deer.

Feb. 8

·Ptl. Hauss conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested an occupant for an outstanding warrant.

·Officers responded to a person acting disorderly on a NJ Transit bus. The subject was found to have an outstanding warrant and was arrested and taken off of the bus.

·Officers assisted a motorist who had locked their keys in their vehicle at the Dollar Tree.

·Officers took a fraud report in which the victim had their Social Security number compromised.

·Officers responded to the Target because a vehicle door caused damage to another vehicle.

·Officers responded to a violation of a restraining order in Wenonah in which the subject was arrested and processed.

Feb. 9

·Ptl. Layton conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested the driver for displaying a fictitious inspection sticker on the vehicle.

·Officers responded to a driver that thought he hit a dog near Chestnut Branch Park. Officers searched the area, but could not locate any injured animals in the area.

·Units responded to a noise complaint in the White Oak apartments for an upstairs neighbor playing loud music as well as yelling and screaming at 3 a.m.

·Officers responded to young male who had overdosed in Wenonah. Officers administered Narcan and he was transported to the hospital.

·We held our monthly car seat safety event at the Mantua Township Fire Headquarters where parents brought their child seats in without an appointment to ensure they are installed correctly.

·Officers took a fraud complaint in which the victims had large amounts of money transferred out of their bank accounts without their knowledge or consent.

·Units responded to a neighbor dispute in the Cold Springs development over the placement of a sump pump discharge.

·Units responded to the Target store for a report of a shoplifting that had just occurred. A subject placed a jacket on and ran out of the store.

·Patrols responded to a minor parking lot crash in the Timberline Shopping Center.

Feb. 10

·Ptl. Oldrati conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested an occupant for possession of drugs.

·Ptl. Layton conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested an occupant for outstanding warrants. She was arrested and turned over to the county jail.

·Patrols responded to a minor crash in the parking lot of the Kohl’s store.

·Officers assisted a motorist who had locked their keys in their vehicle at the Dollar Tree store.

·Patrols responded to a family dispute on Berkley Road.

Feb. 11

·Officers responded to a one vehicle crash on Main Street where a vehicle struck a pole.

·Officers responded to a two-vehicle crash on Center Street in the area of Glassboro Road.

·Officers also responded to a vehicle into the woods in the same area.

·Units responded to a vehicle that slid off the road and into a front yard on Barnsboro Road.

·Officers responded to a two car crash on Center Street by New Street in which a pole was struck.

·Patrols responded to a vehicle that ran off the road and struck a fence on Tylers Mill Road.

·Officers responded to a vehicle that ran off the road and hit a concrete block on Main Street by Ceres Park.

·Units responded to a crash on Center Street in which a vehicle struck a mailbox.

·Units responded to a vehicle that slid off the road on Barnsboro Road near Jefferson Road.

·Officers took a crash report in which a vehicle struck a fire hydrant of Barnsboro Road.

·Officers responded to a minor crash in the area of the Target store.

·Officers located an abandoned vehicle on Heritage Road that looked like it had struck a utility pole.

·Units took a fraud complaint involving prescription medication.

·Officers responded to a two-car crash on Cohawkin Road near Cedar Road.

·Officers took a report that a delivery driver had struck their mailbox a few days prior.

·Officers responded to a minor crash where a vehicle struck a light pole on Meyers Creek Court.

·Units took a fraud report in which the victim had the social security number used to open a wireless phone account.

Feb. 12

·Units responded to a crash on Lambs Road in the area of the Route 55 overpass.

·Officers responded to a vehicle that slid off the road and into a field in the area of Jefferson Road and Jackson Road.

·Officers responded to Newpoint Behavioral Health for a patient that needed to be transported to the hospital.

·Patrols responded to the Rite Aid on Glassboro Road for a minor crash in which a vehicle slid off the road.

·Patrols responded to Wenonah Elementary for a suspicious person.

·Officers took a fraud report in which the perpetrator pretended to be from the electric company.
