Evesham Township School District offering tuition-based, full-day kindergarten for 2019–2020

The cost for the program is $5,500 for the year, and includes transportation for all families living within Evesham’s bus zones.

The Evesham Township School District will again be offering a tuition-based full-day kindergarten program for the 2019–2020 school year.

The curriculum used is aligned to what is currently being offered in the district’s half-day program, while also extending early reading and math concepts, language development, fine and gross motor skills, related arts and social skills into a complete full-day academic program.

A full-day session will be offered at all six elementary schools. A minimum of 15 students per classroom is required in order for a session to be implemented. There will also be a maximum number of students per classroom of 18.

The cost for the program is $5,500 for the year, and includes transportation for all families living within Evesham’s bus zones.

In order to be considered for admission into this program, there are three requirements that must be met:

· Families must be residents of Evesham Township or ETSD employees

· Students must be 5 years old on or before Oct. 1 of this year

· Students must have up-to-date immunizations

Anyone interested in enrolling their child in one of the classes should complete an application, which can be found on the district website at www.evesham.k12.nj.us, and return it along with the non-refundable application fee of $50 on or before Friday, Feb. 22, to: Evesham Township School District, Office of Curriculum & Instruction, 25 South Maple Ave., Marlton, NJ 08053.

As applicants are received, district personnel will assign a tracking number to each child who submitted an application. Students will be assigned to their home school on a first-come, first-served basis.

If the number of applicants exceeds the number of available slots at any one school, students will be placed on a wait list at their home school and offered placement at another building within the district.

Letters to applicant families will be mailed on Friday, March 1, to notify of acceptance and school placement based on final enrollment numbers.

At that time, an acceptance form must be completed and returned by Friday, March 15.
