Haddonfield Lions looking to nominate community-minded individual

Youth of the Year Award seeks to honor student who shows dedication to community or school service

The Lions Club of Haddonfield is seeking applicants for its William G. Hansen Youth of the Year award.

We are seeking nominations (or you can nominate yourself) of a high school student who lives in Haddonfield and is dedicated and active as a volunteer in the community and in his or her school. We are looking for a student who has leadership skills, spends time volunteering, has empathy and is dedicated to helping others.

The student must live in Haddonfield or attend high school here. Tell us what this student is involved in and why this person is deserving of recognition. We also need the grade in school.

This award comes with a plaque and a $100 prize. It will be presented in March at a Lions meeting in Haddonfield. The winner, who will be chosen by the Lions YOTY Award Committee, will be informed before the presentation.

If you would like to nominate someone, or nominate yourself, send information to Lions Club members Deb Nussbaum at [email protected], and/or Ellen Ragone at [email protected], no later than Feb. 15. We need the name of the nominator and nominee and contact information for both.
