Shoplifting, marijuana, DWI arrests and more in latest reports from Mt. Laurel Police

The following information is on file with the Mt. Laurel Township Police Department:

On Jan. 6 at 12:16 a.m., patrols responded to the area of West Bluebell Lane for a report of a suspicious vehicle. The responding officers located the vehicle, which was occupied by four males. During the investigation, it was determined that all of the male occupants possessed marijuana and drug paraphernalia. All were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Three of the males were released on a summons pending a future court date. One of the males was turned over to Florence Township Police for an outstanding warrant.

On Jan. 6 at 12:13 p.m., patrols conducted a motor vehicle stop on Church Road for motor vehicle violations. During the investigation, it was determined that the 24-year-old male driver from Moorestown was in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was processed and released on a summons pending a future court date. A 23-year-old male passenger in the vehicle from Philadelphia was found to have an outstanding warrant out of Moorestown Municipal Court. He was arrested for the warrant and released with a new court date.

On Jan. 4 at 1:56 p.m., patrols responded to Target at 4 Centerton Road for a shoplifting. Loss prevention employees reported that a 61-year-old female from Browns Mills concealed store merchandise and attempted to leave the store without paying. She was arrested and charged with shoplifting. She was processed and released on a summons pending a future court date.

On Jan. 3 at 7:17 p.m., patrols responded to a residence on the 900 block of Sedgfield Drive for a theft complaint. The victim/resident reported that a package was delivered to his residence on Dec.21 and was stolen from the porch shortly after. No suspects at this time.

On Jan. 3 at 6:44 p.m., patrols responded to the 1000 block of Sedgfield Drive for a report of a criminal mischief. The victim/resident reported that sometime between 9:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., an unknown suspect cut her Christmas lights on the exterior of her residence.

On Jan. 3 at 4 p.m., patrols responded to the Home Depot at 1200 Nixon Drive for a reported shoplifting. Loss prevention employees reported that two male who entered the store, selected various merchandise and attempted to leave the store without paying. When confronted, each male entered a maroon Oldsmobile with a Pennsylvania license plate and fled the area onto I295. Investigation ongoing.

On Jan. 2 at 6:49 p.m., patrols responded to a residence on the 6100 block of Normandy Drive for a trespassing complaint. The resident stated that at approximately 5:20 p.m., she heard a commotion outside of her residence. As she went outside to investigate, an unknown person jumped off her balcony and fled. A neighbor reported seeing a juvenile climbing up the railing.

On Jan. 2 at 1:55 a.m., patrols responded to the LaQuinta Inn at 5000 Clover Road for a report of an unconscious male. Mt. Laurel Patrols, Mt. Laurel EMS and Paramedics responded and located the 38-year-old male from Cinnaminson to be unconscious from an apparent drug overdose. Narcan was administered and the male regained consciousness. He was transported to a local hospital for further treatment.

On Jan. 1 at 6:50 p.m., patrols responded to a residence on the 100 block of Dorchester Road for the report of a fight in progress. The investigation revealed that a fight occurred at the residence between five individuals after a social media post.

On Dec. 30 at 11:16 p.m., patrols responded to the area of Route 73 and Atrium Way for a report of a hit and run crash. The investigation revealed that after the crash, the at fault driver fled the scene. The vehicle was located by responding officers. The 57-year-old male driver from Sewell was arrested and charged with DWI and other related motor vehicle violations. He was processed and released on a summons pending a future court date.

On Dec. 30 at 8:40 p.m., a victim came into police headquarters to report a theft from his vehicle. The victim reported that he was at a friend’s house on Gardenia Court between 4 and 8:15 p.m. During that time, an unknown suspect entered his unlocked vehicle while parked in the driveway and stole personal property.

On Dec. 30 at 8:33 p.m., a resident from Lark Drive reported that on Dec. 26, he took an Uber from a bar/restaurant in Medford to his residence. After he was dropped off, he realized that he left his cell phone in the Uber car. After several failed attempts to get the phone back from the driver, the victim signed a complaint against her for theft.

On Dec. 30 at 8:03 p.m., patrols responded to CoCo Key Water Resort at 915 Route 73 for a theft complaint. The victim stated that an employee stole her 13-year-old daughter’s wallet containing $76. The employee, who was running the lost and found, was seen with the wallet and then moments later observed leaving the bathroom area where the stolen wallet was recovered.

On Dec. 29 at 9:43 p.m., patrols conducted a motor vehicle stop on Ark Road for motor vehicle violations. During the investigation, it was determined that the 28-year-old male driver from Brooklyn, N.Y. was in possession of marijuana. He was subsequently arrested and charged with possession of marijuana. He was processed and released on a summons pending a future court date.

On Dec. 29 at 7:41 a.m., patrols responded to the area of Sorrel Run and Winding Way for the report of an unresponsive male in a vehicle. During the investigation, it was determined that the 20-year-old male driver of the vehicle from Mt. Laurel was under the influence of alcohol. He was subsequently arrested and charged with DWI and other motor vehicle violations. He was released on a summons pending a future court date.

On Dec. 29 at 2:52 a.m., patrols conducted a motor vehicle stop on Church Road for motor vehicle violations. During the stop investigation, it was determined that the 38-year-old male driver from Philadelphia was in possession of marijuana. He was subsequently arrested and charged with possession of marijuana. He was processed and released on a summons pending a future court date.

On Dec. 28 at 11:36 p.m., patrols conducted an investigation of a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of the Knights Inn at 1104 Route 73. During the investigation, the 28-year-old male occupant from Willingboro was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana. He was processed and released on a summons pending a future court date.
