Township issues recycling information

Press release from Monroe Township Public Works Department

Monroe Township residents, we are experiencing high levels of contamination in our curbside single stream recycling. When non-recyclable items, trash, end up in your recycling container, they have the potential to turn the entire truckload into trash. This increases processing cost, which results in additional service charges to the municipality.

Please join us in the battle against contamination! Increased enforcement and inspections will take place to correct this problem. If your automated recycling container is found to be contaminated it will not be emptied.

No plastic bags, no electronics, no clothes, no food, no Styrofoam, no plastic toys. Please call the public works department with any questions or concerns (856) 728–9844 or email [email protected].
