A strong low pressure is expected to arrive in the region Thursday night, bringing widespread rainfall. The National Weather Service says 1.5 to 2.5 inches of rain is expected to fall, with locally higher amounts possible.

Flooding is possible along roadways and areas of poor drainage as the ground is saturated from recent rain. River flooding is also possible Thursday night into Friday. Residents are asked to monitor the weather forecasts and be alert for possible flood warnings.
