Clearview Regional senior accepted into competitive program

The following comes from Clearview Regional High School

Princeton alumni Audrey Henry (‘76), left, and Linda Blackburn (’71), presenting Rebekah Strauss with the first place Princeton Prize in Race Relations on April 11 (Sean Devlin/The Sun).

Senior Rebekah Strauss of Mullica Hill has been accepted into The Tisch School of Arts at New York University. Rebekah has worked extremely hard in all areas (academics always being first, but also leadership, service, extracurricular, athletics and more), and her dramatic writing has stood out to others in the county and state since was a freshman.

The Tisch Dramatic Arts program accepts only 50 students from around the world, making it one of the most elite university programs of any major. Notable Tisch alumni include Martin Scorsese, James Franco, Lady Gaga, Kristen Bell, Alec Baldwin, Spike Lee, and more (visit Tisch.NYU.edu/Drama to view the full list).

Rebekah’s goal is to write screenplays that examine global and national social issues and provide representation in the media for marginalized groups.
