Judy Okun to present at January Temple Beth Sholom Hazak meeting

The meeting will take place on Thursday, Jan. 17, beginning at 1 p.m.

Judy Okun will be the presenter at Temple Beth Sholom’s meeting on Thursday, Jan. 17 at 1 p.m. The meeting will be held at Temple Beth Sholom, 1901 Kresson Road in Cherry Hill.

Okun will present “Myth, Trade and Luxury — the Allure of Spice Since Ancient Times and the Silk Road/Spice Routes.” Okun’s interest in geography began with many cross-country road trips taken to the American West and national parks. Her main areas of interest are in the Ice Age and human migration, environmental issues of the American Southwest, geography of language, and worldome trade connections and logistics.
