‘Santa Comes to Mt. Laurel’ set for Dec. 13

Mt. laurel Township will hold its annual Santa Comes to Mt. Laurel event on Dec. 13. From 4 to 7 p.m. that day at the Mt. Laurel Community Center, kids can enjoy holiday fun and pose for free photographs with Santa Claus. Kids will get their chance to tell Santa what’s on their wish list this year, and then they’ll have a chance to enjoy snacks and crafts at the community center.

South Jersey Pops Orchestra to hold winter concert at Lenape High School on Dec. 16

The South Jersey Pops non-profit orchestra will take a world view of this season as it presents “Celebrate: A Global Holiday” on Sunday, Dec. 16, at Lenape High School. The second of its four performances during its 49th season, the program will feature holiday carols from around the globe including France, Germany, and Spain, local music to warm the hearts of Philadelphians, along with Hanukkah songs and popular and timeless holiday classics.

Mt. Laurel Police seek man who stole two Teddy Bears from Toys For Tots collection bin

The following information is on file with the Mt. Laurel Township Police Department:

On Nov. 30, at approximately 1 a.m., police say the individual in the video above allegedly stole two large teddy bears from a Toys for Tots collection bin at Prospector’s Steakhouse and Saloon located at 3050 Route 38 in Mt. Laurel. Police say the individual was described as a male, middle to late 30’s, with dreadlocks.

Lenape Regional High School District collects nearly 80,000 pounds of clothing for Goodwill

The Lenape Regional High School District recently finished its eighth year of participating in the Give to Goodwill Competition, with what district officials describe as an astounding 79,204 pounds of clothing collected for donation. Students, teachers, staff and family members at each district school were asked to bring in gently used clothing and accessories to be collected and donated to Goodwill.

Lenape Regional High School District holds fourth and final strategic planning forum

This week marked the fourth and final strategic planning forum held by Lenape Regional High School District officials to solicit input from the public for officials to use in the creation of a new, five-year strategic plan for the district. Groups debated among themselves about the strengths and challenges of the district, as well as what aspects they’d like to strengthen or change for the district in five years.
