Winter Weather Advisory extended by NWS

The following comes from the National Weather Service.

The National Weather Service has extended a Winter Weather Advisory into
Gloucester County with snow falling across the region Wednesday afternoon.

The Winter Weather Advisory is in effect through 6 p.m. Wednesday evening. The National Weather Service says one to three inches of snow could fall in areas across the region through this evening, when the snow is expected to end.

Residents should prepare for slippery road conditions, especially during the evening commute. The area affected is expected to be a narrow band, so impacts and snow amounts could vary greatly over short distances. If driving in the area, prepare for rapidly changing conditions. In bands of heavier snow, visibilities could be reduced.

Additionally, Gloucester County has activated its Code Blue Plan, which includes the “First Call for Help” hotline. The homeless hotline is available 24 hours a day throughout the week and can be reached, toll-free by calling (800) 648–0132.
