Obituary: Howard Albert “Al” Villalobos

World War II veteran, long time resident of Haddonfield died following holiday weekend

Howard Albert “Al” Villalobos passed away on Nov. 28 at the age of 92. Former longtime resident of Haddonfield, late of Cherry Hill. Cherished husband of the late Marion (nee Mann), devoted father of Brian W. (Michelle D.), Craig M. (Steven Humes), Vivian V. Mark, Linda G. (Donna Malloy) and Beth L. (Mark) Jennings. Loving grandfather of Heather Benedetto, Gregory, Matthew and Meredith Villalobos, Morgen and Birke Jennings. Dear great-grandfather of Theodore and Charles Benedetto.

Al proudly served in the US Navy during World War II. He had been a communication consultant for New Jersey Bell and AT&T for many years. He volunteered at the Battleship of New Jersey and was actively involved in the Rotary Club of Haddonfield.

All are invited to join Al’s family for a Celebration of Life Open House, Sunday, Dec. 2 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Uxbridge Community House, 100 Uxbridge, Cherry Hill.

The family suggests that charitable contributions in Al’s memory be made to the Rotary Club of Haddonfield Foundation, PO Box 383, Haddonfield NJ 08033. The foundation awards scholarships to high school students in Haddonfield and vicinity, and to area veterans who are furthering their education.
