Giving back in Mullica Hill

Charity events, big and small, are in full swing this season.

Charity drives are popping up in and around Mullica Hill for the holiday season.

Robin’s Nest toy collection bins for the Santa’s Workshop are found at the ShopRite on Bridgeton Pike. New, unwrapped toys are being accepted in the vestibule. More information can be found at www.SouthJerseyTeam.com.

Crescent Moon Coffee and Tea, the Harrison Township Municipal Building and Wireless Zone (141 Bridgeton Pike, Unit G) are partnering with the Gloucester County Toys for Tots program this year to collect new, unwrapped toys.

The Mullica Hill Branch Library is collecting coats for the HFM 9th annual Coat Drive. New and gently used coast will be accepted until Jan. 31.

Victory Fiduciary Consulting is collecting new and “like new” coats for kids and adults. Other winter gear collected includes hats, mittens and scarves. They’re coordinating with the schools to distribute to students who are in need of the items. Donations can be dropped during or after-hours at 53 N Main St.

The Harrison Township School District has the giving tree up in its two schools. If you have a child attending in the district, take an ornament and purchase a gift card for a local family in need from Target or WalMart.

Pleasant Valley School is also hosting a pajama drive in which it’s collecting new pajamas of any size (infant through teen). Donations accepted until Dec. 7 at the Main Office.

Trinity United Methodist Church has its Wishing Tree up where people are welcomed to take an ornament during office hours to help bring cheer to a family in need through Your Place at the Table (YPATT).

Editor’s Note: Know of a charitable event occurring in town not listed? Send an email to the editor at [email protected] with the items being accepted, duration, and place at least two weeks in advance for consideration into The Mullica Hill Sun paper.
