The following is a release from the Gloucester Township Police Department:

On Nov. 22, at approximately 2:52 a.m., the Gloucester Township Police Department (GTPD) responded to the CVS located at 701 College Drive for a report of a burglary in progress. A police K-9 Team and several officers conducted a search of the area and successfully located and detained a male suspect found in a motor vehicle.

During the investigation, officers found that a male, Bryan W. Mason, had entered the CVS through the pharmacy drive-thru window and left with prescription narcotics.

Just after this crime, Mason went to the nearby TD Bank at 601 College Drive where he attempted to rob a male, who was using the ATM, of his money. The victim refused to hand over the money and fought with Mason, who was able to flee the scene just prior to being apprehended.

Mason was linked as the perpetrator in both of these crimes. A further search of the area revealed that Mason had also attempted to burglarize the nearby Blessing Auto at 1027 Erial Road.

There were no injuries.

Mason, of Sicklerville, was charged and remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility pending court. Charges include robbery, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon and burglary among other charges.
