Student group tackles discussions of faith

Press release from Williamstown Middle School

The Rock is a Williamstown Middle School after school club led by 8th grade math teacher, Mrs. Lisette Litwinczuk and community member Ms. Carrie. Litwinczuk and Carrie lead discussions based in faith.

Special to The Sun: Members of The Rock work together to tape messages onto edible treats for other students

The Rock meets once a month and students in all grade levels are allowed to attend. Some Williamstown High School students come over to assist with the meetings.

Matt Oppendisiano, an 8th grade student, said, “They give out food and it feels good to be with people to discuss their faith.”

Matt Gross, another 8th grade student, said, “We feel relaxed at the meetings and have the chance to talk about our faith to others.”
