Burlington Township’s Tree of Giving

Remember those in need this Christmas, make a donation at the township’s municipal building before Dec. 11

The holidays can get pretty busy this time of year and it’s easy to forget that there are people living all around us that don’t get to experience Christmas the same way we do. Burlington Township has set up a Tree of giving in their municipal building to encourage residents to think of others.

Next to the tree a sign reads: “We are collecting toys and gift cards for children in need in our town to brighten their holiday. Your contribution would be greatly appreciated by selecting an ornament from the tree. Please return your unwrapped items to the municipal building by December 11th. Thank you for helping to put a smile on a child’s face.”

The tree is adorned with paper ornaments with either boy or girl written on them and an age range to help when deciding what kind of present to buy. Stop by the municipal building any day before Dec. 11 during their regular hours 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to participate.

All items collected will be distributed to children in Burlington Township.
