Haddonfield holiday shopping event to benefit rescue dogs

Brandywine Living at Haddonfield to host on Dec. 13 gathering to aid furry friends in need and local commerce

On Thursday, Dec. 13 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Brandywine Living at Haddonfield will be hosting “Peppermint, Presents and Paws,” a unique shopping event supporting local rescue dogs and small businesses.

Proceeds from the event benefit J & Co Dog Rescue, a local non-profit with fosters throughout South Jersey and Philadelphia. The rescue specializes in saving dogs from euthanasia at high volume shelters due to extreme medical need or lack of space.

The event will feature local artists and crafters with unique gift items for the whole family. Items available for purchase include artisan soaps, soy candles, children accessories, multiple handcrafted jewelry vendors, botanical teas, herbal bath products, and home décor. Additionally, gourmet dog treats and cat toys will be for sale for furry family members.

Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win items donated by the crafters and local Haddonfield businesses. Dogs available for adoption will be bringing joy to shoppers while looking for fur-ever families.

A bake sale with delicious treats to enjoy during the event or to take home supporting the cause will also be featured. The event is free to attend with donations to support the rescue or dog supplies dropped off to “Santa Paws” appreciated.

Participating vendors currently include: Duffy’s Fine Chocolates, The Tin Goat, Relics Revisited, DragonflyDesigns, LI, Piggyback Treats Company, Fox & Feline, Mystical Blossoms, The Petit Haas, Dorothy Claire Crystals & Healing, Lena’s Sweet Treats, and 222 Creations.
