Stopping hate: Williamstown Middle School held two Challenge Days

Press release from Williamstown Middle School

Special to The Sun: Students and volunteers at WMS’ Challenge Day

Williamstown Middle School held two Challenge Days in November this year. Challenge Day is a program that helps build the community in hopes to stop teasing, violence and alienation that is a part of the school experience for millions of young people every day.

The powerful and transformational day chooses 100 students randomly per day along with 25 adult volunteers. The volunteers consist of school teachers, administrators and community members. Challenge Day is coordinated by Mrs. Kristie Brown, Mrs. Jennifer McCartnet and Mrs. Stephanie Cowie. All three teach at WMS.
