Rebellion seek to end season on perfect record

The next game is expected to occur against Washington Township, however, a date has not been set.

The Mantua Rebellion picked up another victory this season with a 7–2 win over the Gateway Blue Lightning on Nov. 10 in a South Jersey Girls Soccer League U-9 game.

Alexa Goldstein and Sarah Foster each scored two goals to pace the Rebellion offense. Chelsea Volfson, Emma Burdey, and Madalyn Worst had a goal apiece in the win. Lily Clerval and Foster shared time in net and combined to make six saves.

Francesco LaGuarina, Addison Staszewski, and Reily Rosauer each turned in outstanding performances for the Rebellion, who improved to 9–0.

They next host Washington Township in the season finale on a date to be determined.

“The girls are playing really hard, giving every ounce of effort they can, and have shown a genuine commitment to finish the season with a perfect record,” Rebellion assistant coach Vitale Volfson said. “They worked so well together in the win, displayed great sportsmanship, and we as coaches could not be more proud of them.”
