Harrison Elementary raises money for local JDRF chapter

The following comes from the Harrison Township School District.

Students at Harrison Township Elementary School raised money for the South Jersey Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

The fundraiser also coincided with health lessons during physical education classes in which students learned about Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes, the risk factors and current treatments. At the conclusion of the fundraiser, all students at HTS took part in our inaugural OneWalk on the front lawn, celebrating our fundraising efforts by walking laps.

Our grand total for our first JDRF fundraiser was $7,346 and our top fundraiser, third-grader Braydon Robinson, was honored with the JDRF’s Golden Sneaker award! Great job Braydon and all students at Harrison Township Elementary for making our very first JDRF fundraiser such a great success!
