Harrison Township honoring veterans throughout the weekend
The following comes from Harrison Township Mayor Louis Manzo.
Dear Residents,
On Nov. 11, we pause to express our gratitude and appreciation to our veterans for their brave and selfless service to our country. Veterans Day is a holiday to reflect and celebrate our country and those who have served it. I think about the sacrifices those who have served so that we can live in our free and great nation.
On behalf of the Harrison Township community, I express our sincere thanks to all veterans for answering the call of duty. Thank you for your gallant courage.
As a reminder, you can honor a veteran with a memorial brick. The Harrison Township Veterans Memorial, ‘Hero Lane,’ is located at the entrance of the William Wilt Soccer Complex; the walkway to the memorial is lined with engraved pavers honoring those veterans who have given of themselves in honor of our country. You can order your paver by clicking here or contacting Diane Malloy at [email protected].
Please take a moment to view the many events that honor our Veterans this weekend, posted in Happening in the Hill.
God bless our veterans and all our troops. God bless Harrison Township, and God bless America.
In Gratitude,
Your Mayor Louis Manzo
