Longfellow, Pasquarella Williams and Dougherty win three-year council term; Esposito, Garrison and Zachowski win BOE election

According to unofficial results published by the Gloucester County Board of Elections, Longfellow, Pasquarella Williams and Dougherty have won seats on Washington Township Council

Washington Township Council Vice President Sean Longfellow will serve again on the council alongside running mates Andra Pasquarella Williams and Andrea Dougherty.

Longfellow received 16.67 percent of the vote, Pasquarella Williams earned 16.27 percent while Dougherty received 16.46 percent, according to the unofficial results released by the Gloucester County Board of Elections.

Republican candidates Susan Pacewic, Vin Spinelli and Rich Super received 15.27, 15.52 and 14.79 percent respectively, according to the unofficial results released by the Gloucester County Board of Elections.

Independent candidates Giancarlo D’Orazio and Domenick A. Ruggiero Jr. received 2.83 and 2.17 percent of the vote respectively, according to the unofficial results released by the Gloucester County Board of Elections.

In the Washington Township Board of Education election, voters elected two incumbents and one newcomer. Karen Garrison, Candice Zachowski and Paul Esposito were elected to three-year terms on the board. Garrison led the way with 21.75 percent of the vote, Zachowski finished second with 20.37 percent and Esposito earned the third seat with 16.61 percent. Garrison and Zachowski are incumbent members while this is Esposito’s first term.

Incumbent Bob Abbott was not re-elected to the board of education, finishing in fourth place with 16.44 percent of the vote. Renee Pollard finished fifth with 15.22 percent and Cecilia Volk finished sixth with 9.29 percent.
