Brandwyine Living to discuss ‘Compassion Fatigue’ as part of educational series

The event, “Compassion Fatigue,” will take place at Brandywine Living at Moorestown Estates on Thursday, Nov. 8 at 6 p.m.

As part of their Better Than Ever Educational Series, Brandywine Living and Virtua will be presenting a new session, focusing on helping caregivers battle stress and manage their well-being in honor of National Family Caregivers Month.

The event, “Compassion Fatigue,” will take place at Brandywine Living at Moorestown Estates on Thursday, Nov. 8 at 6 p.m.

A roundtable discussion will be held between the audience and healthcare experts, focusing on coping techniques to manage physical and emotion exhaustion that reduces an individual’s ability to empathize. If not managed, compassion fatigue can significantly worsen their health and well-being.

Speakers include Charity Middleton, MSW, LSW, Geriatric Care Manager, Virtua SeniorWise Care Management, Gwen Cunliffe, RN, Director, Virtua Home Caregivers and Marilyn Morales, RN, BSN, HNB-BC, Clinical Nurse Educator, Brandywine Living.
