Mullica Hill residents and juniors Matt Grubb and Chad Shire were chosen for the NJAC Men’s Swimmer of the Week and Men’s Diver of the Week, respectively.
Grubb won two individual events and was on the winning 200 medley relay (1:35.36) at Montclair State University. He came in first in the 100 (58.69) and 200 (2:17.94) breaststrokes.
Shire claimed first place in the one-meter five voluntary dives and one-meter six optional dives with 185.05 and 301.27 points respectively. It was the second time Shire had an NCAA qualifying mark in the one-meter and he qualified for the NCAA Regional. The men defeated Montclair State, 219–75.
Both men graduated from Clearview Regional High School. Rowan University is located in Glassboro on 201 Mullica Hill Road.
