Mt. Laurel Police participating in ‘No Shave November’ campaign

Officers will volunteer to grow their facial hair and make donations to cancer research. Members of the public can donate as well.

During the month of November, officers from the Mt. Laurel Township Police Department will be putting their razors down as they participate in No Shave November.

According to Mt. Laurel FOP Lodge №191, the mission of No Shave November is to raise awareness of men’s health, specifically the battles people are fighting associated with cancer.

By growing what most cancer treatments take–hair–officers will show support for those currently battling their illness and contribute to cancer research in hopes for a cure.

According to the FOP, prostate cancer is the second most commonly diagnosed cancer among men.

Each participating officer will donate money and start growing some facial hair to show support.

In addition, members of the public can also make donations at the FOP’s website at www.mlfop.org.
