Tuesday, Nov. 6 is Election Day in New Jersey, with polls open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Residents of Harrison Township can vote in races for township committee, Clearview Regional High School District and Harrison School District board of educations, Gloucester County Sheriff, Gloucester County Surrogate, Gloucester County Board of Chosen Freeholders, New Jersey General Assembly, United States House of Representatives and United States Senate.
Voters will also vote on a state public question.
In the race for two open seats on township committee, Louis Manzo (Harrison First) and Don Heim (Harrison First) are seeking re-election against David Schulze (R) and Edward Selb (R).
In the race for Clearview Regional High School District board of education in the Township of Harrison, Scott Muscarella and Sherry Mongiovi-Dvorak are running uncontested.
In the race for three open seats on the Harrison School District board of education, those running include Joseph Schwab (Accomplishing More Together), Theresa Vaites (Accomplishing More Together), Marissa Straccialini (Accomplishing More Together), Stephen Houpt (Kids First), Megan Robinson (Kids First) and Jennifer Liberi-Middleton (Kids First).
In the race for Harrison School District board of education to fill an unexpired term, Jennifer A. Bowen is running uncontested.
In the race for Gloucester County Sheriff, incumbent Carmel Morina (D) is against Jonathan Sammons (R).
In the race for Gloucester County Surrogate, Joe Chila (D) is against George Shivery Jr. (R).
In the race for two seats on the Gloucester County Board of Chosen Freeholders, candidates are incumbent Robert Damminger (D) and James Lavender (D) against Rose Yerka (R) and Diane King (R).
In the race to fill an unexpired term representing the 5th Legislative District in the New Jersey General Assembly, incumbent William Spearman (D) is against Nicholas Kush (R).
In the race for the U.S. Representative for New Jersey’s 2nd congressional district, Seth Grossman (R) is against Jeff Van Drew (D), John Ordille (Libertarian), William Benfer (Together We Can), Steven Fenichel (Time for Truth) and Anthony Parisi Sanchez (Cannot Be Bought).
In the race for United States Senator for New Jersey, incumbent Robert Menendez is against Bob Hugin (R), Murray Sabrin (Libertarian), Tricia Flanagan (New Day NJ), Madelyn Hoffman (Green Party) Kevin Kimple (Make it Simple), Natalie Lynn Rivera (For the People) and Hank Schroeder (Economic Growth).
For the state question on this year’s ballot, voters will vote “yes” or “no” on the Securing Our Children’s Futures Bond Act.
The bond act authorizes the state to issue bonds in the aggregate principal amount of $500 million.
The money from the sale of the bonds would be used to provide grants to schools, school districts, county vocational school districts and county colleges.
Money from the grants would be used to build, equip and expand facilities to increase career and technical education program capacity.
Money would also be used for school security upgrades and school district water infrastructure improvement projects.
