Halloween parade moved to new date

The following comes from the Harrison Township Recreation Commission.

Due to the expected rainy weather on Oct. 27, the Halloween Parade at Ella Harris Park has been moved to Oct. 28. Start and end times remain the same.

All who wish to participate in the costume contest must arrive no later than 12:30 p.m. The registration table is located across the trail from the Bridgeton Pike parking lot.

Pets are welcomed to join the contest and parade route. Children will be grouped and judged by age.

Come early to paint or decorate pumpkins in the pavilion, play Halloween games or hop on the wagon for a hayride!

The 5k Run, 1-Mile walk Trick or Trot Fun Run event will still occur on Oct. 27 at 8:30 a.m. as it is a rain-or-shine event.
