Mega Job Fair proves a successful alternative in job searching

Press release from Gloucester County Board of Freeholders

The Gloucester County Board of Chosen Freeholders, in conjunction with the Gloucester County Workforce Development Board, presented the 2018 Mega Job Fair on Oct. 12, presenting students and residents a chance to find employers with open positions that would suit their interests.

Freeholder Director Robert M. Damminger said, “The county job fairs always bring out a talented group of job seekers and a wide variety of area employers. This year we had 93 different employers at our event.”

Freeholder Heather Simmons, Liaison to the Department of Economic Development said, “One of the largest impacts on job placement has been through the county job fairs and positive recruitment events.”

Simmons said that to date this year the county’s job fairs served over 2,000 people and introduced jobseekers to over 125 different companies with job opportunities. “As a result, over 150 individuals have been hired by an array of Gloucester County companies.”
