RCGC to hold Community College Opportunity Grant information session

Rowan College at Gloucester County (RCGC) will host an information session for prospective students and families interested in finding out more about the new Community College Opportunity Grant on Tuesday, Oct. 23, at 6 p.m. in the Business and Corporate Center, room 500.

RCGC is one of the 13 New Jersey community colleges selected to participate in Governor Murphy’s $25 million Community College Opportunity Grant pilot initiative. Beginning spring 2019, RCGC current and new students with household adjusted gross incomes less than $45,000 a year will be eligible for a tuition-free college education. A Community College Opportunity Grant navigator and financial aid representatives will be available at the information session to provide details about grant requirements and answer questions.

Located in one of the fastest growing counties in the state, RCGC aligns its educational offerings to meet the economic demands within Gloucester County’s local labor market. Recently selected as one of New Jersey’s Talent Network Development Centers for Financial Services, RCGC’s partnership with key businesses promises a high growth industry at both the state and county level.
