RCGC to host multiple open workshops in October

Press release from Rowan College at Gloucester County

The Center for People in Transition at Rowan College at Gloucester County (RCGC) hosts a number of empowerment, health and financial workshops during the month of October.

Computer File Management

In today’s workplace, “file management” no longer applies to only paper files. Keeping your electronic files organized and up-to-date is every bit as important. Join People in Transition’s own Amy Charlesworth to learn basic file management skills, including saving, renaming and rearranging documents and creating new folders. This workshop is sponsored by Heart of South Jersey and will be held on Oct. 11 from 6 to 8 p.m.

How to File Family Matter Motions

Vanessa Cardwell, Ombudsman, will help arm you with the skills you need to prepare yourself for family court. This workshop will cover family matters docket motions involving child custody, parenting time, child support and spousal support in cases. Marital status can affect the proceedings, so this workshop has been divided into two sections to allow for customization. For unmarried attendees, this workshop will be held on Oct. 22, from 6 to 8 p.m. For married attendees, this workshop will be held on Oct. 23, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Unless otherwise noted, all workshops are free and open to the public. Registration is mandatory. Call (856) 415–2222 or email peopleintransition@rcgc.edu to register. You must be 18 years or older to attend.Rowan College at Gloucester County’s 250-acre campus is located on Tanyard Road in Deptford, just off Exit 56 off of Route 55.
