Pass It On Soccer Camp

Pass It On is a free soccer camp for children ages 5 to 9, and the brainchild of Sandy. Her father, Kevin, recalled the early stages of the camp.

“Pass It On is a program that Sandy started when she was 8 years old. She started sketching it out in crayons,” Kevin said. “She knows there’s a need for more people to get some decent training out there. Her plan was to bring in other former players, kids with good training, and pass it on to younger kids.”

Home of the Brave: Williamstown volleyball eager to continue winning tradition in ‘18

Like most high school gymnasiums, Williamstown High School’s is decorated with banners. The achievements of each of the school’s athletic programs are on display for everyone to see.

It doesn’t take long to realize the girls volleyball team is the most successful program, at least in terms of sheer titles, both conference and state.

Williamstown’s girls won 15 straight conference crowns from 2001 to 2015. They won state championships in 2006, 2010 and 2012.

Summer reading program at the library comes to a close

“This was a great year for our summer reading program! We had more signups than ever before with 234 kids signing up and continuing to visit the library over the summer,” she said.

County sets date for Senior Citizen Picnic

Nostalgia will play a major role in this year’s Gloucester County Senior Citizen Picnic. The picnic’s theme is a tribute to the old fashioned American Carnival, with the event set to take place on Sept. 18 at the Red Bank Battlefield Park from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

A rain date is set for Sept. 19.

Gloucester County Freeholder Director Robert Damminger described the annual Senior Citizen Picnic as a fun event where many residents look forward to dancing, meeting with friends and having an overall great time.
