Peach Festival celebrates more than 40 years

The festival will take place on Friday, Aug. 24 from 5 to 8 p.m.

On Friday, Aug. 24 from 5 to 8 p.m., the First United Methodist Church of Moorestown will be celebrating more than 40 years for our annual Peach Festival with fresh peaches, homemade baked goods and ice cream.

Hot dogs, hamburgers, ice cream and more will be provided. There is no charge, but there will be a donation bag for our local food banks.

Live music by the Stillwaters Gospel Band will be played in the courtyard from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Children’s activities include a moon bounce, dunk tank and kid’s games.

The Peach Festival supports local food pantries. The need for food has reached new highs at three local food pantries: Moorestown Ministerium (St. Matthew’s Lutheran), Bethel AME and First Baptist. Please contribute to these pantries by bringing a can of food to the Peach Festival.

First United Methodist Church is located at the corner of Pleasant Valley and Camden Avenues in Moorestown. Tickets are $7 per person, $17 per family and free for children under five. Tickets may be purchased in advance at the church office or at the festival.
