On July 31 and August 5 members of the fire department attended training for high angle rope rescue.

The first day of training consisted of a basic rope and knot lecture with hands on classroom training. The second day of training was hand on training which required the firefighters to utilize the skills they learned on the first day and apply them to remove a skydiver who was trapped in a tree.

Hands on training was done at Skydive Crosskeys. The Williamstown Fire Department would like to thank the Gloucester County Fire Academy and Skydive Crosskeys.
