Kiwanis Club presents eight scholarships to local students

The Kiwanis Club of the Haddons recently gave out scholarships to high school students from the area

The Kiwanis club of the Haddons recently honored their 2018 scholarship winners: (from left to right) Robert Fonash, treasurer of the foundation of the Kiwanis Club of the Haddons, Angelica Oppermann, Abbi Haines, Rachel Lynch, Harvey Lermack, Kiwanis Club of the Haddons president, Dalton Hofmann, Matthew Brahms. Not present are Aleece Siner, Sara Waldron and Andrew Vail.

The Kiwanis Club of the Haddons recently presented scholarships to eight local high school seniors. The following students and their parents were recognized by the club at a luncheon on Aug. 3:

· Sara Waldron of Collingswood from Collingswood High School

· Rachel Lynch of Voorhees from Eastern Regional High School

· Andrew Vail of Woodstown and Haddonfield from Gloucester Catholic

· Angelica Oppermann of Barrington from Haddon Heights High School

· Abbi Haines of Haddon Heights from Haddon Heights High School

· Matthew Brahms of Haddon Township from Haddon Township High School

· Dalton Hofmann of Haddon Township from Haddon Township High School

· Aleece Siner of Haddon Township from Haddon Township High School

Funding for future scholarships will be raised at the Kiwanis 16thAnnual Golf Outing to be held Monday, Aug. 27, at Ramblewood County Club in Mt. Laurel. The cost to play in the best ball scramble is $125. Sponsorship levels range from $1,000 to $100. Registration information for the golf outing is available on Facebook by searching “HaddonsKiwanis.”
