Evesham Township School District’s Teddy Bear Academy daycare could be forced to close

The Evesham Township School District’s Teddy Bear Academy daycare program may have to close its doors due to a recent ruling from an administrative law judge. According to a ruling from Administrative Law Judge Solomon Metzger, who recently reviewed the case, the ETSD Board of Education exceeded its authority when it opened Teddy Bear Academy four years ago.

Nine running for three seats in Evesham Township School District Board of Education race

The Evesham Township Board of Education has three open seats this year for election and three times as many people running to fill them. Incumbent board president Joe Fisicaro Jr. and incumbent board member Jeff Bravo are each running, and also running are Melissa Fleming, Jason Hoy, Eric Sperrazza, Lewis Kipness, Nicholas Italiano, Christopher St. John and Sharyn Pertnoy-Schmidt.

Healthy Kids Running Series in Marlton to once again promote healthy lifestyles for kids this fall

What started as a community outreach program in West Chester, Pa., in 2009 has grown to 140 sites in more than 25 states, including Marlton. It’s the Healthy Kids Running Series, and the next event in Marlton is scheduled to start Sept. 9 and run through Oct. 7 on the land behind Marlton Middle School.

Marlton residents invited to Southern Burlington County NAACP law enforcement roundtable

The Southern Burlington County (SBC) NAACP will host an “NAACP More Justice, More Peace II” law enforcement roundtable discussion on Thursday, Aug. 16. The event will bring police chiefs from towns within the SBC NAACP’s jurisdiction to address police relations and the black community, among other topics.

Burlington County to waive adoption fees at Burlington County Animal Shelter on Aug. 18

Burlington County Freeholder Director Kate Gibbs has announced that the Burlington County Animal Shelter will once again be participating in NBC 10 Philadelphia’s fourth annual “Clear the Shelter” drive from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 18. During the one day event, the county waives all adoption fees for every animal in the shelter waiting to find their forever home.
