Camden County Judge M. Allan Vogelson dies at 79

Release issued by Camden County

The statement below is by Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli in regard to the passing of Judge M. Allan Vogelson

“The Board of Freeholders extends our deepest condolences to the Vogelson family in their time of mourning. Camden County has lost one of its greatest assets and citizen advocates with the passing of Judge Vogelson. He stood as a shining example of public service for us all, whether it was his time spent on the bench as a member of the judiciary starting in 1991 or practicing law in the public and private sectors. The former Freeholder Board Director oversaw a time of significant change in the county and always made practical public policy decisions. Allan was a man of great integrity and intelligence, a true resource to our community. His legacy will live on with the library branch that he led the efforts to build that now bears his name. He is one of few individuals whose lives have left an indelible mark with us in the county, and has left a high bar for us all to aspire to.”
