Patrols respond to traffic accidents, overdoses, criminal mischief, more

The following reports are on file with the Mantua Township Police Department:

July 20

• Officers responded to a crash in which a vehicle struck a deer.

• Officers responded to the Centre City School at 3 a.m. for a noise complaint. Officers found a group of juveniles in the parking lot and transported the juveniles home to their parents.

• Officers took a theft report in which a vehicle was stolen from Wenonah. The vehicle was later located in Camden City.

• Patrols responded to a crash on Route 45 in the area of the Wawa. Gloucester County EMS treated the injured and a vehicle was towed from the scene.

• Officers took a prescription fraud report at the Target pharmacy.

• Officers arrested a subject who had shoplifted from the Home Depot store.

• Officers took a burglary report for a vehicle that was entered during the overnight hours. Nothing was stolen and the doors were left unlocked.

• Officers conducted foot patrol during the evening hours in the Centre City development.

• Officers conducted foot patrols at Chestnut Branch Park during the evening hours.

• Officers responded to the Walgreens store for a customer attempting to pay with counterfeit money. The subject left prior to officers arrival.

• Officers assisted a motorist who had locked their keys in the vehicle at the Walgreens store.

July 21

• Officers assisted the Woodbury Heights Police Department with two fight calls. One was at the Hollywood Café and the other was at their Wawa store.

• Officers responded to the Villages of Berkley for a report of a fight. It was found that all the occupants were intoxicated and no physical fight had occurred.

• Officers arrested a subject that had violated his electronic monitoring conditions. He was transported directly to the Gloucester County Jail.

• Officers supervised community service workers who cleaned up litter throughout the town.

• Officers responded to four crashes within an hour of each other due to the wet roads. One was serious and three occupants had to be extricated by emergency responders and taken to Cooper Trauma Center.

• During one of the above crashes, two occupants were arrested for being wanted out of the prosecutor’s office as well as possession of marijuana.

July 22

• Officers responded to Center Street in the area of The Garden Center for a vehicle that crashed into the fence and rocks.

• Officers conducted foot patrol in the Toll House Plaza during the late morning hours.

• Officers assisted victims in obtaining a restraining order against their adult daughter.

• Officers assisted a motorist who had locked their keys in the vehicle at the new Wawa store.

July 23

• Officers responded to the Villages of Berkley for a report of intoxicated person yelling in the middle of the night.

• Officers took a crash report on Jefferson Road for a vehicle that struck a deer.

• Officers recovered a stolen vehicle after the vehicle was returned to the house it was stolen from by the owner’s daughter.

• Officers assisted a motorist at the PetSmart that had locked their keys in their vehicle.

• Patrols responded to a crash at the intersection of Breakneck Road and Jackson Road. Two occupants were injured and both vehicles needed to be towed.

• Ptl. Krieger arrested a subject during municipal court that had outstanding warrants.

• Officers took a missing person report for a male that was last heard from a few weeks ago.

July 24

• Officers took a fraud report for pool work that was never completed.

• Officers assisted the prosecutor’s office and the Monroe Township Police Department with a search warrant and ultimate arrest of a male. He was processed and turned over to the Gloucester County Jail.

• Officers took a theft report for landscaping equipment that was stolen from a barn.

• Officers assisted a motorist that had locked their keys in their vehicle at their house.

• Officers investigated a burglary and theft that had occurred. The victim believes it may have been a neighbor that broke in and stole her purse.

July 25

• Ptl. Riepen and his K-9 partner, Bane, assisted the Deptford Police Department with a vehicle sniff. There was no indication on the vehicle.

• Officers received a noise complaint about a loud radio in the evening hours. The subject agreed to turn it down.

• Officers responded to a crash on Woodbury-Glassboro Road in the area of the old Sony plant.

• Officers assisted a motorist who had locked their keys in the vehicle at their house.

• Patrols responded to the area of Glassboro Road and Buttonwood Street in Wenonah for a report of females fighting with a subject in a vehicle. Officers checked the area and could not locate anything in the area.

• Officers responded to a noise complaint on Main Street just before midnight. They were advised to remain quiet.

July 26

• Officers responded to a crash on Center Street in the area of New Street in which there was one injury.

• Patrols responded to an unconscious person in which the victim had passed in their sleep.

• Officers took a theft report in which landscaping equipment was stolen from a trailer overnight.

• Patrols responded to a crash on Main Street in the area of Mount Royal Road.

• Patrols responded to an unconscious person in which it appears the victim had accidentally overdosed.

• Patrols responded to a domestic dispute between an adult son and his parents over his drug use.

• Patrols responded to a subject that had suicidal thoughts. The subject was transported to crisis for an evaluation.
