The Freeholder Board, Camden County Library System and Camden County Workforce Development Board are hosting a Community Play Date to promote child literacy programs at the South County Regional Library in Winslow Township from 10 a.m. to noon, Sept. 29.
“We are proud to work with the Camden County Workforce Development Board’s Literacy Committee on this free event designed for families with children aged two to seven,” said Freeholder Bill Moen, liaison to the Camden County Library System. “The event will include fun activities such as sensory stations to learn through play and exploration, along with a story teller speaking both English and Spanish.”
The event will feature free books, snacks and family activities. Information will be available on work readiness and literacy help available through the library system and Camden County.
Additional sponsors include the Camden County One-Stop Career Center, Ravitz Family Markets-ShopRite, TD Bank, “Bags of Books,” Pizza Hut, Camden County College ABS, PNC’s “Growing Up Great” and the Orchards Family Success Center.
The South County Regional Branch of the Camden County Library System is located at 35 Coopers Folly Road in Winslow Township.
Established in 1921, Camden County Library System seeks to meet the recreational, informational and educational needs of its customers with locations in Camden, Bellmawr, Gloucester Township, Haddon Township, Merchantville, Winslow Township and Voorhees Township. The Library is governed and supported by the Camden County Board of Freeholders and the Camden County Library Commission.
