The team defeated Marlton in the championship game to advance to the Cal Ripken 9U Mid-Atlantic regional tournament.
Cherry Hill National is the best team in South Jersey in the 9U division for 2018. National won the Cal Ripken 9U Southern New Jersey state championship on Friday with an 8–3 win over Marlton.
Cherry Hill National went undefeated in the Southern New Jersey state tournament. They kicked off their run with a win over Sacred Heart on July 12. The team then defeated Egg Harbor Township, Marlton and Delran to advance to the championship game, where they defeated Marlton a second time.
Cherry Hill National’s journey at the Mid-Atlantic Regional Tournament will begin on Tuesday with a game against Northwest Pennsylvania champion West Perry. The game is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. The tournament is being held in Cranbury in North Jersey.
