Ride the Farm on July 28

The Mullica Hill Women’s Triathlon Club to host a 12- to 24-mile cycling ride in Upper Pittsgrove

Join the Mullica Hill Women’s Triathlon Club as it cycles 12 or 24 miles on beautiful back roads, stopping at three family-run farm marts for the annual Ride the Farm event on Saturday, July 28, from 7:30 to 11 a.m. Start and finish will be at the Pine Tavern Distillery, 149A Pine Tavern Road, Upper Pittsgrove.

Riders will depart in waves at 7:30, 7:45, 8:00, 8:15, 8:30 or 8:45 a.m. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your wave departure time to sign-in and be marked with your rider number.

The marts will offer plenty of fresh, local produce. The farmers will be on site to answer questions and offer samples. Cue sheets will be provided and the roads will be marked. Volunteers will pack and transport purchases to the host farm, Pine Tavern Distillery.

Pine Tavern Distillery is New Jersey’s first farm distillery and Salem County’s first legally operating distillery since prohibition. The raw materials for the distillery-produced spirits are grown right there on the farm. At the end of the ride, participants receive a tour and get to select any drink on the tavern’s cocktail menu.

Bring a lawn chair and enjoy a cocktail in the shade. East Coast Pizza will be on site for those who wish to purchase food.

Parking will be tight, so invite a friend and carpool. Non-members are welcome. Cost is $20 for MHWTC members and $25 for non-members. Register here. Online registration will close on July 20. If slots are available, walk up registration will be $25 cash, members and non-members.
