Evesham Police seek public’s help identifying alleged shoplifter turned robber

Police say the alleged incident took place on July 13 at the Kohl’s on Route 70.

The following information is on file with the Evesham Township Police Department:

On July 13 at 4:40 p.m., officers with the Evesham Township Police Department responded to the Kohl’s store located at 301 W. Route 70 for the report of a male who allegedly shoplifted merchandise and allegedly threatened to kill a loss prevention officer at the store.

According to police, an investigation determined that a male in his mid-20’s had entered the store with a young female child approximately 6 to 7 years old.

While inside the store, police say the male allegedly attempted to shoplift merchandise, and when confronted by a loss prevention officer, the male allegedly threaten to kill the loss prevention officer if he took any action.

Police say the male then allegedly fled the store and then proceeded to call the Kohl’s store shortly after the altercation.

During his phone call, police say he requested to speak with the loss prevention employee and allegedly threatened to kill him if he reported the incident to police.
