At approximately 10:30 a.m., June 24, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the area of Chestnut Avenue for a traffic offense.
During the course of the traffic stop, the odor of marijuana was coming from inside the vehicle. A search of the vehicle resulted in the driver being found in possession of marijuana.
Also in the vehicle was approximately $22,000.
The currency was broken down in to smaller denominations and placed in ziplock bags and stored in different areas of the vehicle. The driver was subsequently charged with possession of marijuana and money laundering and is set to appear in Camden County Superior Court.
