The Historical Society of Moorestown’s will host “In Flew Enza: The 1918 Flu Epidemic in Philadelphia and New Jersey” on July 11 at 7:30 p.m. at Smith-Cadbury Mansion located at 12 High Street in Moorestown.
One of the most devastating flu epidemics in American history came on the heels of one of the deadliest wars. Mickey DiCamillo, president of the Historical Society of Moorestown and processing archivist at the Historical Society of Pennsylvania, will explain how this epidemic spiraled out of control and how people in this region reacted to its horrors.
