Philanthropic podcast hosts first annual 5K

The event is set for July 7 at 9 a.m. at Washington Lake Park

Philanthropic podcast, The Good Network, is hosting its first annual 5K to spread inspiration by hosting exclusive interviews with local charities and individuals making a difference in our communities. A snapshot of the organizations they’re connected to and support include:

· Rowan University’s SHOP (Glassboro, NJ)

· Camp Changes Lives (Patterson, NY)

· Origin Maine (Farmington, ME)

· University of Iowa’s Children’s Hospital (Iowa City, IA)

They have built a strong relationship with a handful of military/veteran-centric organizations. The first annual 5K run is benefitting Hope For The Warriors which is based out of Springfield, Virginia. Hope For The Warriors provides comprehensive support programs for service members, veterans and military families that are focused on transition, health and wellness, peer engagement and connections to community resources.

While The Good Network is certainly working to facilitate monetary donations to the organization, they’re taking it a step further and conducting a backpack/school supply drive for children of military families.

For more information about our upcoming 5K, please visit the event page or registration page.
