Operation Yellow Ribbon of SJ collecting items for military care packages at ShopRites

Volunteers from OYRSJ will be visiting Ravitz Family Markets owned ShopRites to ask customers to consider purchasing care-package items.

Operation Yellow Ribbon of South Jersey (OYRSJ) is continuing to partner with The Ravitz Family Markets and local ShopRite Stores in sending care packages to the troops serving in Afghanistan, Iraq, Jordan and other areas in the Middle East.

The Ravitz Family Markets owned ShopRites are helping OYRSJ in collections for care packages and donations for the troops at their registers when customers check out and complete their shopping trip. In addition, volunteers from OYRSJ will be visiting each store on the dates listed below and below to greet customers and ask them as they enter the store to consider purchasing one or more care package items and donating them on the way out as they exit.

OYRSJ will then pack the donated items and prepare them for shipping to America’s women and men on the OYRSJ’s care package recipient list.

A list of items requested can be found on OYRSJ’s website at www.operationyellowribbonsouthjersey.org. Volunteers of OYRSJ will also give supporters a list as they enter the stores.

OYRSJ has previously been at ShopRites in Mt. Laurel and Cherry Hill.

Remaining dates in the drive’s schedule are as follows:
