A car accident on the Black Horse Pike involving a GTPD vehicle unfolded this weekend.
On June 22, at 5:08 p.m., the Gloucester Township Police Department was advised of a motor vehicle crash on the Black Horse Pike in the Glendora section of town involving a police officer. Additional information received by police communications indicated that two vehicles were involved and one of the vehicles had struck a building.
Upon arrival of other officers, it was determined that a Gloucester Township Police Officer and the sole occupant of the second vehicle were evaluated at the scene and complained of injuries. GTEMS Ambulance, Virtua Paramedics, and the Glendora Fire Department responded to the scene to assist with the injured. Injuries to the officer and to the other driver appear to be non-life threatening and minor.
The crash is currently under investigation by the Gloucester Township Police Department.
