Township Council honors Cherry Hill Youth Cheerleading for outstanding 2017–18 season

CHYC won two national titles and had numerous other achievements over the past six months.

Cherry Hill Youth Cheerleading received a special honor on Tuesday night at the Cherry Hill Township Council meeting. Mayor Chuck Cahn and members of town council presented CHYC with a proclamation for their achievements during the 2017–18 competition season.

CHYC was formed in 2010 with cheerleaders ranging in ages of 5 to 18 years old competing. The organization trains at a facility just off if Brace Road, with girls coming from all the different schools on the East and West side.

In the fall CHYC cheers for the Cherry Hill Knights football teams and then attends competitions from December through April. This past season the organization won two national titles and many first, second and third place awards.
