The votes are in, and according to WMMR-FM’s “Preston & Steve” morning show, there is a king of cool at Washington Township High School. Technology education teacher Rick Ambacher was announced on the air on June 6, as the winner of “Coolest Teacher” completion for WTHS, as hosted by Preston and Steve.

The popular morning radio show randomly selects a high school, daily from May 14 through June 8, and students at that school have 24 hours to text in their votes. The next day, the winner is announced and the next school is selected. Ambacher, a 35-year veteran of the District, is retiring at the end of this school year.
