Ann Barse, born on May 26, 1932 in Carbondale, PA, passed away surrounded by loved ones at the age of 86 on June 11, in her daughter’s home in Palm Desert, California.
She was a longtime resident of Haddonfield, NJ and married for 55 years to the love of her life, the late Dr. Francis Barse. Together they were heavily involved in charity contributions for various non-profit organizations. She graduated from Hahnemann Hospital Nursing School in 1954. Ann loved singing, playing the piano, traveling all over the world, cooking exquisite foods, entertaining and laughing with friends over her favorite glass of wine. She lit up a room when she was present with her exquisite sense of style and her feisty, yet good sense of humor. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves behind her daughters, Joanne Ruane and Maria Kinder; grandchildren, Rachel Forman, Melanie Ruane, and Justin Perkins; great-grandchild, Maverick Francis Forman; nieces, Ellie Ball and Nina Edalatpour; and nephew, Tim Gilroy.
Ann’s family will receive friends on Saturday, June 23, 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at Kain-Murphy Funeral Services, 15 West End Ave., Haddonfield, NJ; where her Memorial Service will follow at 12 :30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Ann may be made to Lourdes Health Foundation, 1600 Haddon Ave., Camden, NJ 08103.
